Workshops
Aquila
The workshop is conducted for freshmen in the month of September, wherein the students learn how to build a radio-controlled plane designed by the club members. The two-day workshop starts with lectures on the basics of aerodynamics, stability and structuring followed by construction of the plane.
Glider
Organised primarily for school students during the latter half of the academic year, the Glider Workshop involves new construction techniques and materials to work with. With instructions from our team, the students build a scaled Depron model of the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor. The workshop is held over a one-day period, comprising of informational lectures and construction sessions.
Aircraft Design Workshop
The students are walked through the processes required to design a radio-controlled plane, which are then taught to the freshmen along with the concepts included in designing a simple RC plane. The entire design of the aircraft is completely developed by students. Software like XFLR5, SOLIDWORKS, MotoCalc, Fusion 360, including others are introduced and used.
Pratigya
Through the Pratigya initiative, we visit underprivileged students in municipal schools, orphanages and shelter homes to ignite their curious minds and spark an interest in the world of aero-modelling. Fundamental concepts and various theories are simplified and explained to young minds, after which they are taught to build glider planes. We regularly conduct such workshops in association with various Non-Profit Organizations and Technovanza - the technical festival of our college.
